Natively you cannot set up the default From or Reply-to address value for Microsoft Outlook. This utility allows you to insert any address/alias that you wish automatically to the "From:" and/or "Have replies sent to:" field of each outgoing message.
Installation and Testing
Exit Outlook in case it is running. Download SetFrom2005-Demo.zip
archive file. After downloading unpack SetFrom2005-Demo.zip and execute
SetFrom2005-Demo.msi. Start Outlook and click Tools -> Options. Select SetFrom tab.
Fill out the default 'From' field. Mark appropriate "Enabled" checkbox. Click Apply. Click OK.
Now you're ready to test the utility. Run Outlook and create a new message. Enable the "From:" field.
Make sure the "From:" field is pre-populated.
SetFrom has been tested with Outlook 2003/2007 under Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003
Side effects
Using this utility has the side effect of creating a mail item in the Drafts folder when you reply/forward a message. The item disappears from the Drafts folder after sending the message. However, if you just close the message without sending, the item remains there.About this demo version
This demo version can work only if the default "From:" and/or "Have replies to:" fields contain "TEST" value.

Q. Does SetFrom works only on messages that are replied to or forwarded, or will it also work with messages that I originate from scratch?
A. SetFrom populates the "From:" and/or the "Have replies sent to:" fields for each NEW (never been sent or saved) message regardless of whether it is a brand new message or a reply or a forward.
Q. I am about to purchase this product but I wondering regarding updates/patches. What are the policies regarding updates? Do you provide them freely or as a purchase?
A. As a registered user, you will get free updates for one year from the date of purchase.
